Key Issues for the roundtable discussion (Indicative Questions)
To all Panellists

– Who is leading, policy or practice ?

– What are the University Business Collaboration barriers and drivers in your specific case?  (A barrier provides a hindrance or obstacle to do something, while a driver provides the motivation to do that)

– How you could cross university-industry boundaries in Cyprus? – How can the Triple Helix approach build ‘the enterprising state’ in which universities, businesses and governments co-innovate to solve the global economic challenges?

Industry

– Why is there a limited cooperation with academia?

– What is the bridge to the academia?

– What are your business needs in respect to the profile of non-Business graduates?

Academia

– How can you pro-actively collaborate/communicate with the industry so that your expectations from industry are met?  “Academics do not have enough benefits from cooperating with industry”

– What is the bridge to industry?

– Do we need Entrepreneurial courses in the non-Business Academic Curricula?
Government

– How the involvement of the government could assist triple helix interactions/relations?

– How the policy specifically supports university-industry collaborations?
