The 2015 Triple Helix Conference: Academic-Industry-Government Triple Helix Model for Fast-Developing Countries will be held in Beijing, China, on 21-23 August 2015 and will be hosted by the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. To celebrate the Conference, we have devoted the scientific content of this issue to articles from authors in the Asian Continent.
The purpose of this issue is to bring researchers together to discuss university-industry-government (U-I-G) relations and innovation diffusion in Asia, and to point the way towards a successful conference in China, involving many excellent opportunities for formal and better interaction during the Conference.
Hélice includes an interesting set of scientific papers:
Our President’s Corner in this issue, features an essay which provides an insight into Innovation Games and offers thought provoking ideas on the topic.
We include news of the appointment of the THA Secretary General, Professor Riccardo Viale.
In addition to THA Members’ publications, we include details of papers published in the official THA journal (Triple Helix – A Journal of University-Industry-Government Innovation and Entrepreneurship). These reflect the contemporary interests of the Triple Helix research community.
The next presentation of the THA Webinar Series will be on Tuesday 5 May 2015. This Webinar will address Critical Success Factors in University-Industry Collaboration. Dr Ashley Stevens, President of Focus IP Group, LLC will talk on The Role of Academic Technology in the Pharmaceutical Industry; while Dr Bob Smailes, a Partner with Gunn and Twynmore, will enlighten us on Academic-Industry Consortia. We would like to encourage you to participate.
Finally, we include THA Chapter News from the Chapter of Greece and the Chapter of South Asia; a call for partners and collaborators from the Thematic Research Group on National Innovation Systems; details of new THA members; THA News; the Call for proposals to host the future TH Conferences; and Call for Papers.
